OMG... #3. How cool a guy are you. I would have had to insist on a 7 out of 10. Does your wife have some special degree making this an issue, or are you guys just that equally minded? Men sure have come a long way!
I'll play...(thinking)

ooops.. #2

I assumed you meant #2. :) No, my wife doesn't have some special degree, she just thinks it's silly the woman always changes their last name.
I hope I do get to change my last name someday. One, it would be a source of pride to wear it, and two, I HATE my ex's last name! I could have changed back to my maiden name when I divorced him, but my daughter begged me not to, so we'd have the same last name. That's fine for now, but if the right opportunity ever presents itself, I'm switching!

Yeah, my maiden name was really long, Wilson seemed to be a better choice (and it really never occurred to me not to switch)

You didn't tell me you were FAMOUS! All over Amazon and stuff! (yeah, give me access to your real name and see if I don't google you!) Ohhh.. DeWitte's gonna be so jealous!

Yeah I've written a couple of books, but I'm so not famous.
Well, you have to admit - a hyphenated last name looks darned good in the Author area of a book. I started out with 300 baud acoustic couplers too. We had an internet "specialist" come by my company back in the 90's and someone asked about his history and he said he had his first email address in 1987. And I thought - "huh - I had mine in 1983 on a pdp-11 at the local university" - more stunning is that he became a "specialist" while I was still just using the internet. Oh, well - he was run out of business by another local startup - too bad. A software firewall looks interesting - I've only dealt with hardware (Cisco) firewalls. I'll have to read more - looks interesting!
The only difference between Software and Hardware firewalls is the type of hardware it runs on. You can run the Check Point product both on general-purpose computers (e.g. Linux/Windows/Solaris boxes) or on purpose-built computers (e.g. ones by Nokia, Crossbeam, and others). Cisco firewalls (e.g. PIX) run IOS, and of course will only run on Cisco hardware.
