Carry That Weight

Comments

I too have struggled many years being thin and fat and back again. In February hubby and I decided to try to change habits rather than diet. All we did was say we would eat no bread or potatoes (and naturally no cake, cookies or pastry-type desserts). That's it. We have cereal, meat, fish, veggies, salads, whathaveyou, and it works. We haven't done portion control at all, so if I want a huge steak or a couple of pieces of chicken, I don't feel the least bit guilty.

He is down from 40 waist pants to 36. I have dropped 2, maybe 3 sizes. We've each lost about 30+ pounds. It's been slow, but it really works. If once we feel like having a small piece of dessert, we do. But generally we follow this pretty religiously.

Just a suggestion. Good luck.
