I Was A Latch Key Kid and Other Fun From 1981

I must have fried more brain cells than I thought. You definately remember things I didn't....or chose not to remember. Of course I tend to forgive people more easily than most also by focussing more on what makes them good than bad. My number one rule is that "Lifes to Short".

If there was one thing that I would ever say bad about your mom, it would be that she had a memory like an elephant! That woman would remember every damn thing I did that she didn't like and play it back over and over again like a VCR. Looking back, this made me angry and often a verbal fight evolved out of it.

To this day, I believe we could have worked things out and stuck together. There were many good times also. Those are things though that I "choose" to remember.

Thinking back, I remember David hiring me to help him remodel houses and during that time is when you would go to Cindy's house from school. So you're probaby right that you came home to an empty house at times. That lasted about 6 months to a year.

That was the good side of David though...the asshole side set aside. It was pretty hard seeing Cindy with someone else but was a means to see Breezy and you and Cindy all at the same time.

Mom always had a mind for revenge. She fought dirty. Having a memory like a steel trap was handy.

I'll have to write some thoughts about you and mom later. I have an old picture of you two somewhere...

David did have some good aspects, but man, he had a temper.
